Valerie Joanne Eubanks of Athens, Georgia, and Matthew Charles Ryman of Clemson, SC, were married July 28, 2012, at 2 p.m. at the Marion Hatcher Center in Augusta, Georgia. The bride was given in marriage by her parents, Joe and Deborah Eubanks. The Rev. Brian Gilmer officiated.

The bride is a daughter of Joe and Deborah Eubanks of New Ellenton, SC. She is a granddaughter of Jack and Betty Lowery of New Ellenton, SC, and the late James "Red" Eubanks and the late Betty Eubanks Rowland, both of New Ellenton, SC.

The bridegroom is a son of Meshelle Rabon of Greenville, SC, and Guy Ryman of Salem, SC. He is a grandson of the late Victor and Eloise Rabon of Lugoff, SC, and Betsy Ryman of Lexington, SC.

Jessica Moore of New Ellenton, SC, best friend of the bride, was the maid of honor. Amanda Eubanks of Douglasville, Ga., sister-in-law of the bride, was the matron of honor. Jessica Bellamy of Westminster, SC, a friend of the bride and groom, was a bridesmaid.

Guy Ryman of Salem, SC, father of the groom, was best man. Steven Eubanks of Douglasville, GA, brother of the bride, and Nathan Wueste of Charleston, SC, a friend of the bride and groom, were groomsmen.

Greeters were Elizabeth Sakell of Greenville, SC, Tony Gillespie of Six Mile, SC, and Randy Wilhelmson of Charleston, SC, all friends of the bride and groom.

Following a reception at the Marion Hatcher Center, the couple left for a wedding cruise to the Bahamas.

They are currently living in Okemos, Michigan.

The bride is a 2006 graduate of Silver Bluff High School. She is a 2010 graduate of Clemson University with a B.S. degree in animal and veterinary science. She is a 2012 graduate of the University of Georgia with a Master of Science (MS) in animal science. She is currently at Michigan State University, East Lansing, Michigan, pursuing a Ph.D. in comparative medicine and integrative biology.

The bridegroom is a 2007 graduate of D.W. Daniel High School. He is a graduate of the NASCAR Technical Institute with a degree in automotive technology. He is employed by Spartan Toyota in Lansing, Michigan.
