BEECH ISLAND, S.C. – Ulysses S. Bell, husband of Earnestine H. Bell, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at Georgia Regents Medical Center.

Mr. Bell was born in Barnwell, SC and retired from Olin Corporation.

In addition to his devoted wife, he is survived by children: Stephanie (Victor) Franklin (Aiken, SC), Anthony Bell (Houston, TX), Shonda Bell (Augusta, GA), and Tenise Bell (Charleston, SC); mother-in-law, Zether Harris (Bath, SC); brother, Joe (Annette) Bell (Jacksonville, FL); sisters: Irma Johnson and Rosa Hersey (Beech Island, SC), Carrie (James) Hogan (Martinez, GA), Annie Wright and Diane Bell (North Augusta, SC); grandchildren: Jonathan Dingle (Prairie View, TX), Jordan Dingle (Aiken, SC), Kennedy and Kyndall Bunyan (Augusta, GA); uncles: Fred Bell (Aiken, SC) and Elmore Bell (Jacksonville, FL); aunt, Emethel Bell (Philadelphia, PA); godchildren: Iris Gaylord (Charlotte, NC), Darius Guillory (Augusta, GA), and Jayla Carlyle (Augusta, GA); 4 sisters-in-law, 4 brothers-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and close friends.

Funeral services will be at 11AM on February, 9, 2013 at New Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 3237 1/2 Deans Bridge Road, Augusta, GA 30906. Burial at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 2673 Silver Bluff Rd, Aiken, SC.

The family will receive friends Friday from Noon-1PM at Jackson-Brooks Funeral Home, 126 Fairfield Street, SE, Aiken, SC with public viewing Friday 3PM-7PM only; there will be no viewing on Saturday.
