Thomas B. Augeri
Tom proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He worked for the Post Office until his retirement in 2006. He enjoyed the warm winters in South Carolina where he volunteered at Habitat for Humanity Restore, the Solicitors Office, and the gift shop at ARMC. He enjoyed life, talking, and laughing with his many friends and neighbors. He looked forward to watching his grandchildren play baseball and will now have a special skybox seat to all their games.
Tom was a beloved family man, loving husband, devoted father, and proud grandfather who will be missed by those who knew him. Besides his wife of 40 years, he is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Guilmartin and husband Wayne of East Granby, Christine Weber and husband Kevin of Wethersfield, brother David of East Windsor, father Joseph of Middletown and five grandchildren, Joshua, Madelyn, Jacob, Tyler, and Olivia.
A memorial service for his family and the many friends and neighbors he met in Aiken will be held Saturday, March 9, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Gerard’s Church, 640 Edrie Street, N.E., Aiken.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Fund for Johns Hopkins Medicine, One Charles Center, Suite 300, 100 North Charles Street, Baltimore, MD 21201 or Tribute Giving at www.hopkinsmedicine.org/support.
