Born in Cobbtown, GA and a resident of Aiken County, SC, most of her life, she was a daughter of the late Hoke Smith and Bonnie Lee Powell Durden. She was a member of Langley United Methodist Church. Mrs. Richardson retired from Lionel Smith Ltd., where she was a Seamstress for thirty-five years. You never had to ask her twice if she wanted to go fishing.
In addition to her husband and parents, family members include sons, Lee (Sandra) Richardson, Aiken, SC, Brian (Barbara) Richardson, War-renville, SC and Aaron Richardson, Clearwater, SC; siblings, Peggy (the late Doug) Allen, Warrenville, SC, Doris (Harry) Widener, Saluda, NC, Vickie (Belton) Robinson, Graniteville, SC and the late Patsy (the late Gerald) Dennis; grandchildren, Erica Brook (Karl) Goodhew, Trevor Lewis, Ashley (Sam) Grimes, Matthew Richardson, Paul Richardson, Hunter Richard-son, Keat Richardson and Noah Richardson and a great-grandson, Bradley Ray Grimes.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, March 17th, 2013, at 2 o’clock in the chapel of Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Langley, SC, with Pastor Kyle Poole officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Graniteville, SC. Pallbearers will be Lee Richardson, Brian Richard-son, Aaron Richardson, Tommy Sipes and Todd Sipes.
It was requested by the family that in lieu flowers, memorials be made to the American Lung Association (http://www.lung.org/) or Regency Hospice, 105 Summerwood Way Aiken, SC 29803. The family will greet friends on Saturday, March 16th, 2013, from 6 until 8 o’clock at Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Langley, SC.
