Ronald ‘Ronnie’ (TenSpeed) Dee Chambers
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Amanda C. (Kenny) Barton of Aiken, S.C.; a son, Ronnie Lee Chambers (Jenny Rae Beard) of Williston, S.C.; brothers, Richard (Lisa) Chambers of Aiken, S.C., Thomas “Chucky” Ray (Mary) Chambers and Donald “Donnie” Lee Chambers both of New Ellenton, S.C. and two grandchildren; Lawton A. Holbrook and Laydon G. Barton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Timothy Chambers and a sister, Cheryl D. Sharpe. Ronnie and Sheila had a special bond with cousin, Jill Therp, who resides in Tennessee.
Ronnie was born in and was a lifetime resident of Aiken County, S.C. He was a US Army Veteran. Ronnie had a 20-year career as a truck driver and was also employed at Savannah River Site for 10 years. He was a member of Corinth Baptist Church in New Ellenton, S.C. He shall be greatly missed by his family, friends and all whose lives he touched during the 57 precious years that God granted him on this earth; however, life does not end with death as the gift of God is eternal life for all who believe in Him, and death cannot destroy the memories that the family will always hold dear in their hearts.
A service celebrating his life and home going will be held Sunday, March 17, 2013 at 3:00 PM at Corinth Baptist Church in New Ellenton, S.C. with Rev. Brancie Stephens and Rev. Mike Bell officiating. The interment will follow at the Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Jimmy Kendrick, Bo Sneed, Travis Chambers, Ray Brock, Heath Mullins and Raymond Heath. Honorary pallbearers will be Travis Floyd, Jay Floyd, Gary Nimmons, Phillip Matthews, Walter Johnson, Jerry Brock, Graydon Chambers, Cole Phillips, Don Chambers and Joshua Chambers.
The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
