AIKEN, S.C. – Dr. Peter Paul Silvinskas, 79, of Aiken, passed quietly at Aiken Regional Medical Centers on 2/17/13. He was a native of Philadelphia for many years before retiring to Aiken in 2004. Peter attended St. Charles Seminary, Philadelphia, and graduated from Gregorian University, Rome. He was secretary to US Papal Nuncio, Dean of Theology and later held pastoral positions at the Church of the Good Samaritan, Paoli, Washington Memorial Chapel, Valley Forge, PA and St. Paul Episcopal Church, Exton, PA.

He is survived by his wife, Mary “Mollie” Silvinskas, Aiken, SC; s brother in law, Richard Gloyd and four nieces, Karen Gloyd, Susan Salberta, Judy Ring and Susan Campbell.

South Carolina Cremation & Burial Society, Graniteville, SC is assisting the family and will arranging for a Memorial Eucharist at Church of the Good Samaritan, Paoli, PA at a later date. Internment in the church cemetery will follow.
