Marion ‘Jonas’ Carter

AIKEN, S.C. – Funeral services for Mr. Marion “Jonas” Carter, age 79, who entered into eternal rest at Pepper Hill Rehab and Nursing Center Saturday, January 19, 2013 will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, January 24, 2013 at Mt. Harris Baptist Church with Bishop Dr. Olen Jessie officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Anna-Mt. Harris Church Cemetery. Mr. Carter will lie in state at the church from 12 Noon until the hour of service.

Survivors include: two daughters, Joann (Jackie) Henderson and Janice (Daniel) Mozone, both of Aiken, SC; two sons, Marion (Bernice) Carter, Jr and Larry Carter, both of Aiken, SC; his sister, Beatrice Nash, Jamaica, NY; his brother, Willie (Eula) Carter, Aiken, SC; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at the residence of his daughter, Joann, at 186 Midway Circle, Aiken or at Jackson-Brooks Funeral Home beginning 3PM Wednesday.
