GRANITEVILLE, S.C. – Ms. Kathleen Woodward Barton, age 90, of Graniteville, S.C., wife of the late Marvin E. Barton and daughter of the late Jesse Woodward and the late Maggie Franklin Woodward,, answered God’s call and entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, January 30, 2013. She is survived by sons & daughters-in-law, Richard M. Barton & Pat of Aiken, S.C., Russell “Rusty” Barton & Teresa of Beech Island, S.C.; daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn B. Brantley & Tommy of Graniteville, S.C. and Teena B. Muszall & Tommy of Graniteville, S.C.; ten grandchildren and eighteen great- grandchildren.

She was born in and was a lifetime resident of Aiken County, S.C. She was a member of Graniteville First Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother and known to all her family and friends as Mama “Kat”. She was affectionately called “Kat” “Kat” by her great- grands. She will truly be missed by her family, friends and all whose lives she touched during the 90 precious years that God granted her on this earth; however, life for her has not ended with death, as she has just made a transition to her new Heavenly home where life and love never ends.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Friday evening, February lst from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday February 2, 2013 at 4:00 PM at Graniteville First Baptist Church with Rev. Todd Sessions and Rev. Rod Elliott officiating. Todd Brantley will be delivering the eulogy. The interment will follow at the Graniteville Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Larry Harris, Ben Parrott, Buddy Friday, Herbert Padgett, Charles Hilton, Bruce Herring and Ken Harris.
