RIDGE SPRING – Johnnie Asbill, 86, passed away Thursday, February 7, 2013. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, February 10, at Ridge Spring Cemetery with Rev. Chris Yeargin and Dr. Elton Dunbar officiating. Active pallbearers will be George Grandy, Paul Grandy, Chad Risinger, Austin Risinger, Anthony Frick, and Keith Lester. Honorary pallbearer will be Jonathan Risinger.

Mr. Asbill was born in Aiken County, son of the late Perry and Mattie Lee Asbill. He was an US Army Air Force Veteran. He was a member of Ridge Spring Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Grace Asbill; daughters and son-in-law, Jane Rushton; Diane (William) Grandy; sons and daughter-in-law, Glenn (LeeAnn) Asbill; and Philip Asbill; sister, Cleo Turner; six grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. Saturday, February 9, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home, other times at his home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ridge Spring Baptist Church, 108 Church Circle, Ridge Spring, SC 29129. Milton Shealy Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
