WARRENVILLE, S.C. – Ms. Catherine Elizabeth Flake Maddox, age 77, of Warren-ville, S.C., wife of the late John E. Maddox, Jr. and daughter of the late Lawrence K. Flake and the late Doris Rawls Flake, entered into rest on Sunday, February 3, 2013. She is survived by sons, Charles K. Maddox of Gloverville, S.C., Brian Keith Maddox of Warrenville, S.C., Donald Maddox of Boston, Massachusetts and Dennis Jowers; a daughter, Debbie Jowers of Columbia, S.C. and a number of grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Jowers and a son, David Jowers.

She was born in Swansea, S.C. but has been a lifelong resident of Aiken County. She was a member of Aiken Coker Springs Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was a housewife, a loving mother, friend, and the family stated that she was just a kind soul. She shall be greatly missed by her family and all whose lives she touched along the way; however, she shall live on forever in everyone’s hearts.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, February 8th from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM, at which time (4:00 PM) a service celebrating her life will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home with Bishop Neal Askew officiating. The interment will follow at the Vaucluse Cemetery.
