AIKEN, S.C. – Ms. Annette Lawrence was born in Barnwell, South Carolina on January 11,1941. She departed this life on April, 8 2013 at Select Specialty Hospital, Augusta GA.
She was the only child of the late Ms. Geraldine Lawrence.
In her life, she learned the value of working at an earlier age. She worked for Bath Mill company and Durwood Industries for over 25 years before coming down with an illness.
She was joined in Holy Matrimony to James U. Milton on October 6, 2003. No children were born to this union. She was a loving and supportive wife and mother.
Preceding her in death were her husband, James U. Milton and son, Larry L. Lawrence.
She leaves to cherish her memories: one son, Staple Lawrence of the home, one daughter Delores (Clinton) Washington of Aiken, SC; two grandsons: Travis (Victoria) Bates of Birmingham, AL, and Demetrius Bates of Fort Wayne, IN; five granddaughters: Tiffany Jackson of Augusta, GA, Felicia Jackson, of North Augusta, SC, Kendra Lawrence of Jackson, SC; Quinlan Bates and Akeisha Bates all of Aiken, SC, ten great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2 pm Saturday, April 13, 2013 at the Runs Missionary Baptist Church, 1809 Williston Rd, Beech Island, SC. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Lawrence will lie in state at the church from 1 PM until the hour of service.
Friends may call at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Delores (Clinton) Washington, 104 Charleston Row Blvd, Aiken, or at Jackson-Brooks Funeral Home.
