USCA women's soccer claims third PBC win

MERICUS, Ga. - The USC Aiken women's soccer team picked up its third Peach Belt Conference victory of the year in a 2-1 road victory over Georgia Southwestern on Saturday afternoon.

Alex Cohen guided the Pacer charge in the win with three points on a goal and an assist.

The Pacers will next travel to St. Augustine, Fla., for a conference game against Flagler on Wednesday. The contest is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m.

Pacers claim first PBC win in men's soccer

AMERICUS, Ga. - The USCA men's soccer team collected its first Peach Belt Conference victory of the year in a 3-1 road win over Georgia Southwestern on Saturday afternoon.

Mark Hanlon led USCA in the win acquiring three points on a goal and an assist.

The Pacers will next begin the month of October by traveling to St. Augustine, Fla., for a 7:30 p.m. match-up with Flagler on Wednesday.

Pacers volleyball runs streak to nine wins

The USCA volleyball team claimed two 3-0 victories on Saturday afternoon at the Convocation Center.

USCA (13-5, 3-0 PBC) opened its day with a 3-0 (25-14, 25-17, 25-20) Peach Belt Conference victory over Francis Marion. The Pacers closed out their day with a 3-0 (25-14, 25-13, 25-18) victory over Clark Atlanta.

The Pacers have now won nine straight matches.

USCA begins what will be a six-match road swing with two matches in Montevallo, Ala. on Saturday. The Pacers will play league foe Montevallo first at 1 p.m. They will then square off with Alabama Huntsville at 3 p.m. The Alabama Huntsville match is USCA's final non-conference match of the season.Match One - USC Aiken 3, Francis Marion 0 (25-14, 25-17. 25-20)Shannon Byers led the Pacers in the win with 13 kills and eight digs. She was the only Pacer with double-digit kills in the match.

Samantha Lukralle was the only Pacer to secure double-digit digs in the match, finishing with a match-best 22 digs.

Sheila Walsh and Ashley Farwell facilitated the Pacer attack. Walsh claimed 19 assists, while Farwell had 17 assists in the match.

Ashley Deidrich led the Pacers with four service aces. She also had eight kills and seven digs.Match Two - USC Aiken 3, Clark Atlanta 0 (25-14, 25-13, 25-18)Deidrich was the only Pacer to record double-digit kills in the win. She ended the match with 14 kills.

Two Pacers claimed double-digit digs in the win with Leah Rodgers acquiring 10 and Lukralle leading the way for USCA once again with 12 digs. Lukralle also had three service aces.

Three Pacers collected double-digit assists. Walsh led the Pacers in the category once again with 16.

South Aiken defeats North Augusta in meet

South Aiken won its meet over North Augusta on Wednesday. The top boys finishers for South Aiken were Evan Dunker (17:21), Logan Murray (17:52). Skyler Marker (18:00), Cameron Dunker (18:18), Drew Emery (18:24), John Kaminski (18:33) and Robert Boland (18:45). The top girls finishers for the T-Breds were Kara Dixon (22:55), Keno Wilder (23:40), Jena Evans (23:45), Elizabeth Grant (24:13), Emily Fletcher (24:25), Sydney Arbaugh (24:30) and Addison Darr (25:11).
