Auditions scheduled for new boys' choir

The South Boundary men's choir is planning to establish an all-boys' choir and has scheduled auditions at the First Baptist Church of Aiken today and Sunday, both at 3:30 p.m.

The choir is open to boys in grades 3-6 who enjoy singing and have unchanged voices. James Bennett, the First Baptist music minister, will serve as conductor. Bill Riehl, a South Boundary member, will teach music theory. Riehl encouraged school music teachers, church and club leaders and parents to suggest boys for the program.

Rehearsals will begin Tuesday, Sept. 4, and continue each Tuesday at the church. Tuition will be $50 per semester. For more information, call the church at 648-5476 or Riehl at 336-8802.
