North Augusta Middle School
NAMS is collecting nonperishable food items through Nov. 30 for the Golden Harvest Food Bank. There will be prizes for the three homerooms with the most donations.
The 2012-2013 Step Team, sponsored by Crystal Bush, includes Aleria Smith, Alexxia Reed, Aliyah Johnson, Candice Thomas, Destiny Patten, Heather Dunbar, Jayla Gaines, Jazlyn Bailey, Kiara Aldrich, Swan Anderson, Makayla Cummings and Zalasha Aldrich.
The Chess Club meets each Thursday from 3:15 to 4 p.m. in Ms. Hodges classroom.
The Stand Up & Stop Bullying Club will meet Dec. 10, Jan. 14, Feb. 11, March 11, April 15 and May 13.
This year's Career Speaker Day will be held on Dec. 5 from 8:15 to 10:10 a.m. Anyone wishing to be a speaker on Career Day is asked to register on the school's website or contact Mrs. Echols. First graders will sing at the PTO meeting on Dec. 3 at 6 p.m.

Mossy Creek
Mossy Creek is an official drop-off location for Toys for Tots. Folks are asked to donate a new, unwrapped toy.
Spirit Day is Nov. 28. It's Neon Day and students are encouraged to wear their brightest colors.
The school recognized the testing monitors in second grade - Charles Hall, Barbara Price, Carolyn Gibbs, Kayla Vinson, Kathleen Roach, Carmella Jennings, Keeley Seider, Glora Foster and Angela Ard.

NAHS
Carol Creamer and Shay Thatcher have received North Augusta Cultural Arts Council grants for creative projects with the arts.
Carol Creamer also received the NAHS PTSA educational grant for October.
ELA teacher Jennifer Holley had just received the Ruth Patrick Science Center's Innovative Teacher Award.
