The Nancy Carson Library held its annual teen ghost story contest during October, and the culmination was a reading of ghost stories last Thursday night.

Children's librarian Renee Burton said there were about 140 entries in the contest, and around 120 people showed up for the grand finale.

The winners this year included high school entries from Leeah Geeting, who took first place; Olivia Paradis, second place; and Hannah Elser, third place. All three girls attend Fox Creek High School.

Winners in the middle school category were all students from North Augusta Middle School. Rebekah Seymour took first place; Sophie Ryan, second place; and Anna Grace Parker, third place.
