N.A. Student in National History Day competition

Courtney Johnson of North Augusta is a state qualifier in the National History Day competition. She is a student from the South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts & Humanities. Johnson was chosen as a finalist during the Region 4 (Fourth Congressional District) NHD competition on March 23. She will present her history project at the state NHD competition on April 13 in Lake City. Her project is a group website - Millerites.

Students named to SCAD dean's list

Two local residents have been named to the dean's list at the Savannah College of Art and Design for fall quarter 2012. Full-time undergraduate students who earn a grade point average of 3.5 or above for the quarter receive recognition on the dean's list. Local residents include Adeana Berry of North Augusta and Bradley Green of North Augusta.

Student earns bachelor's degree from Purdue

Purdue University awarded about 3,300 degrees to students following the fall semester. Those earning degrees include Eric Andrysiak of North Augusta, who earned a Bachelor of Science degree.
