Student column: Bee's Buzz
We hear popping! We smell something yummy! We hear people laughing and talking! What is it? It's movie night at Hammond Hill! Last Friday night we went to movie night at Hammond Hill Elementary. The movie we watched was "Gnomeo and Juliet." It is based on the play "Romeo and Juliet," except there are gnomes instead of people. It is about two families of gnomes that do not like each other. At first, they are not very nice to each other, but, in the end, they get along and become friends. We really liked the music in the movie. It was by Elton John. We have seen "Chipmunks: Chipwrecked" and "The Lorax" at other movie nights, but "Gnomeo and Juliet" is our favorite. Mrs. Rhonda, from Bruster's, was there selling yummy hotdogs, ice cream and nachos. We also had popcorn and drinks. Our favorite thing about movie night was sitting on our cozy blankets watching a movie with our friends Katie and Bella. We can't wait to go to the next movie night. My sister Audrey hopes it is "Snow Buddies."
