Jump! Jump! Jump! That's the sound of students jumping rope for the annual Jump Rope for Heart fundraiser. Each February, students participate in this event during our physical education class. We ask for donations for simply jumping rope. All of the money collected goes towards the American Heart Association. The program then takes the money earned and gives back to the children, communities and schools to look for new treatments, research and teaches students how to eat well and stay healthy. Through Jump Rope for Heart, kids learn jump rope skills, how their heart works and how to help kids with special hearts. All of this teaches us how to have fun, learn to stay healthy and how to make a difference in the lives of others in our community. It takes heart to be a real hero and this is why we are jumping for joy and donations.
