What is the greatest display of God's power? It may not be what we think. Did you know that less that one-tenth of one percent of all the sun's energy ever reaches the Earth? If a small fraction of that power could be harnessed by man, we would never have a shortage of energy. We have learned our sun is only an average-sized star in our galaxy of more than a billion stars. There are more than a million galaxies. We don't have any way to measure that kind of energy.
Yet, the Bible tells us God made and energized it all in one day. He did this through his word. The Bible says that same word became flesh and dwelt among us. Truly God's love for us and his power is beyond our comprehension.
God told Job to consider the treasury of the snow. Only with the advent of the telescope have we been able to fully see the intricate beauty of snow crystals. No two are exactly alike; there are more than 100 different types. God ordered the icy crystals in an order of symmetry to show that each human soul is unique and magnificent to him.
He also created the bodies for our souls with superior sophistication. The DNA that comprises our bodies contains information that, if printed in books and stacked on top of each other, would reach 500 times higher than the distance from here to the moon. Each DNA molecule is self-replicating and correcting. Enzymes that act as editors go up and down the DNA strands correcting errors. The clever complexity of DNA is simple compared to cells. Each cell of our body operates like a perfect, individual city.
Miniature solar panels are created into every plant leaf and God programmed them to turn to the sun to receive energy long before man even began to understand what a solar panel was.
These are just a few illustrations of God's power. Contemplating these make us wonder like the psalmist, "When I view and consider your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have ordained and established, what is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of (earthborn) man that You care for him? Psalm 8: 3-4 Amplified KJV
