Chaplain's Corner: Heart Language

Although I had heard about Wycliffe Bible translators for many years, the opportunity to attend the Wycliffe Associates Banquet at the Kroc Center enhanced my appreciation for this ministry. Those in charge of the program used the intriguing phrase “heart language” to refer to the mother tongue or native language into which dedicated missionaries translate the Bible.

Body: There are almost 7,000 language groups in the world, and this organization combines commitment and technology to get closer to the goal of providing Scriptures around the world. “As it is written: ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news’” (Romans 10:15b).
