Chaplain's corner: Consequential decision

I texted my son David regarding the University of Kentucky’s televised game scheduled for that evening. As the time neared and they featured downtown Lexington, I considered how decisions impact our lives for good or ill. I recalled our years of living in central Kentucky, resulting from my decision to attend nearby Asbury Theological Seminary. That fortunate choice also led to five years of ministry in a local church and further academic work at the University of Kentucky. Of course, David’s birth stands as our most positive memory from the Bluegrass State.

“In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” (Proverb 3:6).
