Bees Buzz Feb. 14

Have you heard the buzz? Hammond Hill Elementary is the place to "bee"! Here at the "hive," we are celebrating 60 years of excellence. Our newly-built courtyard is beautiful and ready for the students to enjoy their lunches outside. The courtyard is full of engraved bricks purchased by families and friends. In the fall, Hammond Hill was awarded a National Blue Ribbon School. Our principal, Mrs. Janet Vaughan, went to Washington, D.C., for the special ceremony. We are also a finalist for Palmetto's Finest award in March. Keep your fingers crossed, because we have a feeling that we might be winners of this awesome award. Our school is recognized for offering students excellent instruction and outstanding leaders. The teachers make learning fun in a different way. We especially like how the staff is very kind, and our parents support us and our school.
