Letter: McGhee wants to better North Augusta

McGhee wants to better North Augusta

I have known David McGhee for many years. He is a devoted husband and father who chose to raise his family in North Augusta. He wants our city to be a great place to live, work and play.

David knows that a great place to live is a safe place to live. He will continue to strengthen our Public Safety Department.

I have seen David start a small construction business in these difficult economic times. He operates his business with the utmost of integrity and knows what it will take to attract the right kind of businesses to our city.

David is a volunteer at the Living History Park and a football and baseball coach at the Recreation Department. He knows, first hand, how important the Parks and Recreation Department is to the quality of life in our community.

The next City Council will make decisions that will determine the direction of our city for years to come. David has the skills and experience necessary to independently evaluate all proposals, including Project Jackson. David has attended City Council and other public meetings concerning the project. David understands the traffic, parking, public safety and financial concerns of the voters of this great city. These concerns must be adequately addressed before David would vote for Project Jackson or any other proposal.

I hope you will join me in voting David McGee for City Council on Feb. 12.
